This is a window with options to change the Brightness, Hue or Saturation of your foreground and background colors by a custom value.
The buttons can also be triggered by keyboard shortcuts when the window is active.

Also there is integrated in the script a Autohotkey macro that will unable mouse gestures. But in order for it to work you need to have installed the Autohotkey program( go to http://www.autohotkey.com/, download and install it) .

This script was tested in Photoshop: CS4, CS5, Cs6, CC 2014

You can watch a help video here:

In Photoshop CC 2015 the UI doesn't work, you can open the ui just to activate the gestures or you can create actions for the scripts like in this video:

This is a window in witch you can create buttons that will trigger scripts or actions.
The buttons can be triggered by keyboard shortcuts when the window is active.
I've created this because Photoshop has a lot of keys mapped by default and it leaves a small room for the user custom shortcuts.

This script was tested in Photoshop: CS4, CS5, Cs6, CC2014, CC2015.1.1

BCM - Link Brush To Layer

These scripts allows you to save a brush to a layer, so you can get the exact brush with the same color in a future time.
Also the brushes will be saved with your Photoshop file so anyone who will open the document will be able to use the same brush.
You need to be aware that this can happen only with the same Photoshop version. You can't retrieve the brushes that where saved with CS5 and later with CS4.

To install, extract the archive, then in Photoshop go to File>Scripts>Browse and chose the Install.jsx from the extracted folder. In the window that will appear press Install, than close the window and restart Photoshop and go to Window>Files>Scripts>BCM_link brush to layer...

To speed up the process of attaching and getting the brush, you can create a shortcut for the script in the Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts, and in the window that will open you can use the predefined shortcut for each button.

These scripts where tested in Photoshop: CS4, CS5, Cs6, CC.

Hello,
these are a collection of scripts for Photoshop that could be used to speed your interaction with the layers palette. The main idea was to make the scripts and use them as keyboard shortcuts.
Use and/or modify at your own risk.

Installation:
Close Photoshop
and copy the BCM folder in our Photoshop scripts folder:

"c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Presets\Scripts"
for osx:
"/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets/Scripts/"

Then restart Photoshop and you will see the scripts in the File>Scripts menu

What each script is doing:

BCM00> selectByName...
this script opens a window where you can type the layer name that you want to select and it will
return a list of corresponding layers
To search you can type only a part of the layer name
Also if you want to select a layer that's in a group you can type first the layer name
or a part of it, followed by "@" and the group name
example: ao@DIF (this will list only the layers that are in the DIFFUSE group and have "ao"
inside the name)
For default the script will select only one layer, the first layer found.
You can see the layer that will be selected is the layer highlighted in the list bellow the typing
field.
If you want more than one layer to be selected you have to select them in the list
You can also type at the end of your searching string the "*" this will select all your results
Beside mouse navigation you can use some shortcut keys to navigate in the window
To switch between the typing field and the resulting list use the Tab key
To select in the list press Shift or Ctrl
To close the window and select the results press Enter
To close the window without selecting anything press Esc
Photoshop versions: CS4, CS5, CS6, in CC works but you can's see the descriptors only the name

BCM Tools

BCM01> selectBack...
it selects the backward layer
the difference between this and the photoshop command is that this script doesn't look at the
layer visibility, so you can select an hidden layer as well
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM Tools

BCM02> selectForward...
it selects the forward layer
the difference between this and the photoshop command is that this script doesn't look at the
layer visibility, so you can select an hidden layer as well
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM03> addBackLayer...
it add the backward layer to your selection
the difference between this and the photoshop command is that this script doesn't look at the
layer visibility, so you can add an hidden layer as well
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM04> addForwardLayer...
it add the forward layer to your selection
the difference between this and the photoshop command is that this script doesn't look at the
layer visibility, so you can add an hidden layer as well
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM05> addSibilingsToSelection...
it add to the selection the siblings layers
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

parent layerSet
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM08> ToggleOpen_CloseGroup...
this script will close or open the selected leyerSets
Photoshop versions: CS4, CS5, CS6, CC,
in CS3 if the layerSet has a vector mask it will be deleted when closing the set
for all the versions it won't support the vector mask enabled and vector mask linked

BCM Tools

BCM09> toggleVisibility...
this script will take the first selected layer's visibility and will toggle the visibility for
it and for the other selected layers
Photoshop versions: CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM10> showOnlySelected...
this script shows only the selected layers, I've tried to adjust the show only layer from
Photoshop, the default option will leave visible only the layer that you Alt+click the eye,
and will hide the rest, but if it is on a hidden layer you won't see anything, the script is
showing the parent layerSets as well. And also you can view more than one layer.
Photoshop versions: CS4, CS5, CS6, CC

BCM Tools

BCM11> ToggleMask...
it's created just to be use with a keyboard shortcut. First it selects the RGB channels
of the layers, then it selects the Mask and last it shows the mask(just like Alt clicking on
the mask in the layers palette)

Photoshop - BCM Panel

lockedNormals to hard edges

Author: Buliarca Cristian (buliarca@yahoo.com)
Copyright (@) 2013 Buliarca Cristian
http://buliarca.blog124.fc2.com/

Version: 2.1

Photoshop versions supported: CS4, CS5, CS6, CC
OS: WIndows, Mac OS X

BCMPanel 2.1 features:

  • saving maps as tga, png, tiff

  • save different groups into different RGBA channels, as defined in the customize window

  • it saves only the visible groups. If the visible group is the group that needs to be on the alpha channel, it will save the group defined for RGB as well even it is hidden.

  • you can create more than one preset with the customize window , and also you can view them in the panel by double click in the blank space and add a preset. When pressing the save maps button for one preset it will save the maps as defined in that preset. Also you can change one preset from the panel by double clicking on the preset label.

  • tillable maps are saved correctly when the exported image is resized

  • SETUP PSD - will create a new document with the groups defined for a preset in the customize window. If you already have a document open it will create the missing groups

  • default colors - are the colors defined in the customized window and used as backgrounds for the inexistent groups, that needs to be saved in the RGB channels of an image. Also the SETUP PSD will create the groups with these colors. If there is no default colors preset the script will use black.

  • rename selected group or create one new group by pressing the button with the group name from the BCM Panel.

  • DN_AlbedoCheck - a visual check that shows the most dark or the most bright pixels for your albedo. This check is performed at saving time as well and the user will be warned about it. Uhen the DN_CHECK button is pressed, a group DN_CheckAlbedo will be created for the main parent of the selected layers, if there is a AlbedoCheck defined in the customize window. Also if the group already exists it will perform a toggle by showing the brightest pixels in red, then the darkest pixels in blue, then nothing.

  • BRDF Palette - will open an image that the user have defined as floating window so it will be easy to take the colors with the picker from that image. Also if the image is already opened it will close it.

To install it extract the archive and in Photoshop go to File>Scripts>Browse and select Install.jsx from the extracted folder. Press Install, when done, restart Photosop
and go to: Window>Extentions>BCM

Use and/or modify at your own risk.

Maya - Transform locked normals into hard and soft edges

lockedNormals to hard edges

Author: Buliarca Cristian (buliarca@yahoo.com)
Copyright (@) 2013 Buliarca Cristian
http://buliarca.blog124.fc2.com/

Version: 1.0.1

Function:
this script takes the selected objects and transforms the locked normals
into Hard or Soft edges.
Usually when the user import an object in format fbx, from other 3d package
maya bring that object with locked normals not with hard and soft edges.
This way you can edit the object in maya and send it back to your other 3d
package by FBX and keeping the smoothing groups as well. If you don't export it
as hard and soft edges form maya, the fbx importer will not create the smoothing
groups in the other package, it will only import it with locked normals.

To install it you need to copy the script : "lockNormals_toHS.py"
in maya user scripts directory:
"c:\Users\_your user name_\Documents\maya\2012-x64\scripts\"

and use these python command to run it:

import lockNormals_toHS as lockNormals_toHS
reload(lockNormals_toHS)

If you want to have it on your shelf just create a shelf button with the above comments.

Use and/or modify at your own risk.
