These scripts allows you to save a brush to a layer, so you can get the exact brush with the same color in a future time. Also the brushes will be saved with your Photoshop file so anyone who will open the document will be able to use the same brush. You need to be aware that this can happen only with the same Photoshop version. You can't retrieve the brushes that where saved with CS5 and later with CS4.
To install, extract the archive, then in Photoshop go to File>Scripts>Browse and chose the Install.jsx from the extracted folder. In the window that will appear press Install, than close the window and restart Photoshop and go to Window>Files>Scripts>BCM_link brush to layer...
To speed up the process of attaching and getting the brush, you can create a shortcut for the script in the Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts, and in the window that will open you can use the predefined shortcut for each button.
These scripts where tested in Photoshop: CS4, CS5, Cs6, CC.
